Magical Forrest!

We went on a cool hike not too far from Glasgow in the Gleniffer Brases Country Park in Paisley. We were pretty sure we'd spot a fairy or some mythical creature there as it felt magical with all the green moss on the trees.  The overcast sky added to the eeriness of it.

Can't get use to the leaves that are on the trees in January. So pretty!

Loved this waterfall!

Loving our mission. The missionaries are keeping us busy, plus we are helping ward members with their family history. The Mitchell Library is fantastic. I was able to pull up birth and marriage records and find lots of information for some of the members that have ancestors from Scotland. It was so fun!

Sunday, we went to the Dumbarton Ward and met several members there. We have been wondering how we can help the other wards in the Glasgow Stake. The people we met were super amazing. They gave of names of people we can go visit. We are so glad we had a chance to meet these wonderful people.

Today was such a great day. One of our good friends, Kevin, is getting baptized in February! The sister missionaries and Kevin called us up to let us know the good news!  Kevin said that getting baptized is such a privilege. The best part of this mission for us is getting to know people and making lots of new friends.

Stuart and I started teaching a English class at the church today. We will teach it every week. We had our first student, Anas. He's from Sudan. We loved making a new friend today!

The Stirling Castle

We went to visit the Stirling Castle last week. It was very impressive and dramatic! Most of it was built in the 1400s. Mary, Queen of Scots was crowned here in 1543 as a baby. This castle is considered one of the top favorite castles in Scotland. It was the royal residence for many of the Stewart monarchs. The views from the castle are stunning.

Right next to the castle is the Stirling Bridge. It is famous for the
Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297 where William Wallace defeated the English here.
Standing on the Stirling Bridge.

We love our mission, the people here, the missionaries and Scotland! It's been incredible!
